With strong links to the London underworld and with associates in America and Ireland, Whernside is a very well connected, respected and feared man, running extortion and protection rackets throughout Wales and the West country.

Not a man to mess with, he wouldn't think twice in ordering a "hit" if double crossed. Whernside has fingers in many pies, any "dodgy" business in Cardiff - Import, export, trafficking... he's involved in them all, he also runs the drug scene in south Wales but keeps his back well covered, hiring people to do his dirty work.

Whernside grew up in Swansea South/West Wales and saw his father beaten to death by local gangsters over an unpaid debt, he swore to avenge his fathers death and carried out his promise. His reputation grew and his notoriety preceded him wherever he went.

Under suspicion for multiple murder and numerous misdemeanours, he moved to America to escape the prying eyes of the "law".

It was in New York that he worked for the Mafia. He became a trusted associate and returned to Britain under the name Whernside to take control of Mafia business in Wales, and he's been running the show ever since.
